327574 - After dragging a selection, the selection should not disappear

Trunk firefox, on OS X 10.4.5 (does this happen on other platforms as well?)

To reproduce:

1. Select some text on a web page
2. Drag the selection and drop it somewhere in the middle of the page

Results:

The selection disappears!

Expected results:

Unless I click somewhere else to un-select the selection, the selection should stay. 

This is standard OS behavior (at least on Mac OS X and Windows AFAIK)

This is worksforme with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060216 Firefox/1.6a1
I can't drop the text anywhere inthe webpage (except text inputs), and the text selection stays after trying to drop the text.

Note, this may be OS X only.  It is still appearing. I just tried it in a 20060423 nightly Minefield build.

Just select some text, drag it a few centimeters away (somewhere where the drag will be rejected - where you can't drop it).

It does *not* appear in Camino (!). So either it's carbon-only, or some chrome code is doing the unselect when the drag fails.

Yes, I can reproduce it: on trunk, in 1.5.0.2, and also in 1.0.
Not sure why this was marked as a regression.
