when tomcat starts, to use tomcat manager i have to provide the password...after providing the passwd i enter the manager application...now when i close the browser or even restart the tomcat server...the browser goes directly to the manager application rather than asking for the password...this can be a security risk

Reproducible: Always
What did the login prompt look like? Was it a popup window from Firefox, or was it part of the web page?

More importantly, does it still not ask you for your password after clearing your cookies?

i enabled the MemoryRealm in tomcat for web application authenttication so when i access a particular application..this login prompt appears..this dialog box comes from Firefox im prety sure...and yes even after clearing the cookies, cache everything..im still able to go to the manager application where i can view the status of all the applications
OK. So what happens if you try it with a new profile? (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager)
