User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060214 Camino/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060214 Camino/1.0 It would be nice if the "Find in Page" box (Command-F) would make use of find-as-you-type. Advantages: 1. Gives immediate feedback on typos (with normal Find, you only realize your mistake after you've pressed Return, which is especially annoying with long, hard-to-spell words). 2. Allows you to instantly access find-as-you-type even when you can't use the / shortcut (such as in a text field). 3. Allows new users unfamiliar with find-as-you-type to still enjoy its benefits by being able to access it thru a familiar shortcut/interface (especially since find-as-you-type does not appear in the Edit menu). 4. It saves you typing, just like with regular find-as-you-type (again handy for those hard-to-spell words). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Since there's already a bunch of discussion about changing the default find mechanism and tying it in with FAYT in bug 258211, marking as a dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 258211 ***
