The XULRunner trunk windows tbox (currently solaria) should be building with VC8 instead of VC6.
Solaria tbox currently also builds Sunbird (trunk) and Lightning (trunk and mozilla-1.8). How does the switch to VC8 affect this builds? E.g. do we need to ship vc8 runtime dlls with Sunbird or Lightning? Does new Lightning builds still work in (old) Thunderbird 1.5?
The Mozilla trunk no longer supports building with VC6, so yes sunbird/calendar/whatnot are going to need to move to VC8. How that affects RTL is not entirely clear.
Depends on: 334456
XR-Trunk is currently building (and failing) on a ref. platform VC8 VM, fxexp-win32-tbox.

Please note that this is likely only a temporary step until we get a new VM setup for XR.
Which was a code issue, so I'm going to say this is FIXED, unless you want to track the new VM in this bug?
