User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060130 SeaMonkey/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060130 SeaMonkey/1.0
Entering OLD information required by known or workable info in Mozilla Firefox and requested by SeaMonkey's mail and newsgroups setup procedures.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Window..Mail and Newsgroups
2.Mail server info required...already asked for and entered in Mozilla Firefox.....Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.6
3.stop
Expected Results:
You should be able to import all email settings, mail server and outgoing mail services from your previously installed Mozilla Firefox browser and include it in the SeaMonkey suite...
I'm using the original Mozilla Firefox browser and Outlook Express settings to receive my email and everything works as expected...so I'm staying with this setup and not SeaMonkey's email setup...I hope you improve this....thanks
I'm not sure what info you've entered into firefox ... firefox has never asked me for anything to do with email. Did you mean mozilla suite, rather than firefox? If so, I seem to recall Seamonkey importing mozilla suite's mail account and newsgroup settings, but I may be mistaken.

Note that firefox and mozilla suite/seamonkey are separate programs. I'd rather programs not guess what settings they should import from each other (if any at all).
Maybe the reporter meant Thunderbird -> duplicate of Core bug 306175?

No specific bug / patch referenced as the fix. (Looks like a procedural issue anyway.)
