The forward and back buttons don't allow click-and-hold scubbing in the normal way, presumably as a side-effect of the click-and-hold menu implementation. If you click-and-hold and move off the button before the menu appears, you can't re-highlight the button by moving back over it, or activate it by releasing the mouse. Maybe not worth the trouble of fixing, but a bit odd. FWIW, Xcode's behavior is odd as well, although arguably more useful--it will bring up the menu no matter where you move your mouse while holding.

I think this is a duplicate of an old bug where I have a patch that never got review, that partially rewrote the button button cell implementation for our click-and-hold buttons.
