Anytime if I write a email and the adress dont have a @ like xxx.xxxxxx.de Thunderbird dont accept.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click new message
2.Write a emailadress without @
3.Click send

Actual Results:  
Thunbird says can not send because this are not the right email specification because @ failed

Expected Results:  
Email send

We have a Ldap adress server for our mailing list. And they the email ist xxxx.xxxxx.de and not [e-mail]

So if try to send it dont works. I have alst tried to change to email adress with @. Its have been send without this problem but after a time i have got the message that this email adresse are not exist.

But if i start Thunderbid 1.02 it works perfectly

This is definitely a dupe.  Just can't find it at the moment.

Reporter, is the error from the mail server or thunderbird not accepting the email?

What version are you using?

Hi!

Thunderbird Version 1.5 (20051201)
The error comes from Thunderbird. Thunderbird dont accept email adress without @
