User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 2.0.50215; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: example web application -> http://localhost/example/hello.htm contains

Hello World. Problem 1 - > network share Problem 2 - > network share Problem 3 - > Test File Problem 3 - > Test File

Scenario.. When trying to open the link of Problem 1 it results to page cannot be found. It translated the href link as http://localhost/example/%5C%5Cnetworkdrive%5Cshare When trying to open the link of Problem 2 nothing happens and when I checked the Javascript console messages it was listed there as Security Error: Content at http://localhost/example/test.htm# may not load or link to file://///networkdrive/share/. When trying to open the link of Problem 3 an alert occurs and then nothing happens. The alert message stated - Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (c) isn't associated with any program. When trying to open the link of Problem 3 nothing happens and when I checked the Javascript console messages it was listed there as Security Error: Content at http://localhost/example/test.htm# may not load or link to file:///c:/test.txt. Expected results. Problem 1 - Link will open and showing the content of the network share Problem 2 - Link will open and showing the content of the network share Problem 3 - Link will open and showing the content of the file Problem 4 - Link will open and showing the content of the file Problem does not occur if you type the link in the address bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See Details Actual Results: See Details Expected Results: See Details Open normally.
