Basically, I was trying obfuscate my e-mail address myname@myuniversity.edu by changing it to myname at myuniversity dot edu, and when I did that .. I forgot my password and tried to reset my account, but I never got the e-mail with my reset password.
Clearly something has to give .. either there is a superficial e-mail address people see, but the underlying one stays the same, or e-mail addresses have to be real.
Cheers!
