User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Basically, I was trying obfuscate my e-mail address myname@myuniversity.edu by changing it to myname at myuniversity dot edu, and when I did that .. I forgot my password and tried to reset my account, but I never got the e-mail with my reset password. Clearly something has to give .. either there is a superficial e-mail address people see, but the underlying one stays the same, or e-mail addresses have to be real. Cheers! -Pavan Gupta Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. sign up on umo 2. change e-mail to something fake 3. reset password by submitting fake email created in 2 4. never get ability to log in again .. =( Actual Results: failed login Expected Results: succesful login?
Dropped severity to normal. Please see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#bug_severity As a side note, we should also implement some form of email obfuscating (sp?)
