**** observed with 2000-03-22 beta1 build **** Steps to reproduce: -Export an AB with non-ascii chars from 4.x; -open Seamonkey AB; -go Tasks|Tools|Import utility and import this AB.ldif //note: all non-ascii chars are displyed as a garbage
Reassign to chuang. Marina, could you attach the address book file which contains non-ascii?

vrfy dup marina - can you check the screenshot attached to 38844 and ensure that that appears to be the same problem you were seeing? I see you verified that 38844 was fixed.
