I couldn't find a new feature request page, so I will put it here for you to forward to the correct area.

I have a problem with Mozilla Thunderbird applying filters to my many mail boxes that I pop from the server.

For some of the mail boxes the filters work, but in my OOPS folder (ie. incorrectly addressed emails catch all mailbox) -  the filters don't work until applied manually.

So my wish is for a single button to click on each mailbox that will apply the filters manually rather than having the current 2 step process (selecting mailbox settings-filter, then appling filters one by one).  I believe this would make life a lot easier.

Ideally it would be good to have multiple filter buttons (eg. filter1 = list of names, filter2 = spamassasin filter, filter3 = rubbish removal) that can be set globally or on individual mailboxes.

Finally it would be nice as a feature to be able to add any ascii character or wildcard as a filter element as we have many asian messages that are span whick could be easily filtered as they use "B$d$C$F$-$^$7$?$3$" or "&!*!*0J30" type of characters.  A Linux style of filter macro would be ideal initially - later making a userfriendly version.
