Page last modified December 10, 1998. Current products use Gecko, not Nglayout, in UA strings. If everybody now developing in the mozilla.org project knows it as Gecko, then the page probably should say something that describes that status, officially relegating the name Nglayout back to an internal use only status like Mozilla had when the current Netscape product was v4. Netscape no longer does the management or marketing either.

Historically relevant but out of date content like this should be removed from the www.mozilla.org site and the page can be redirect to the archive site at
http://www-archive.mozilla.org/newlayout/gecko.html
We can remove the page and have the redirect working once automatic redirects are in place. See bug 453475 for details.

Closing as wontfix. This page shouldn't be updated, but rather archived along with the rest of the obsolete newlayout content. That archiving work is being tracked in bug 446213.
