User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7
Scenario:
* Page contains:
- element X (has focus)
- element Y (initially invisible)
- element Z
* User changes element X (e.g. by typing, or selecting from a drop-down)
* User presses Tab key. OnChange event fires
* OnChange causes element Y to become visible
* Focus jumps to element Z, seemingly skipping element Y which just appeared
My suggestion is to process onChange (and onFocusLeave or whatever it's called) before deciding what element should receive focus next.
Reproducible: Always

This was fixed in trunk sometime last year but we didn't want to take any more risky focus fixes for Firefox 1.5. You'll have to wait until Firefox 3 for the fix. Not sure what the bug # was. You can get a test trunk build here:
