I recently upgraded to 1.5 after using Firefox/Thunderbird for some time. Since the upgrade general performance has been appalling. I frequently download CAD files of a few kb each. My PC seizes up each time I do this and it takes probably 4 times longer than before. Printing fails completely. I've had a Deskjet 1220c for ages and never had any serious issues. Even from an embedded Acrobat file it generates pages of nonsence. Things are so bad I've gone back to IE6 despite my hatred of all things Microsoft. I think Thunderbird's going the same way shortly. Problem is I told loads of people how great it is and they're all going the same way.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Switch on PC
2.Open connection
3.Start Firefox
Do you get the same problem when you run Firefox in the safemode / with a new profile?
