was working happilly till I noticed one account in particular had not received any mail for a few days. closed TB and reopened to find the second account, accessing the same mailserver, wasn't working either.
using the fix suggested in comment 8 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258077) and disabling secure authentication, I've been able to replicate again finally.
this is about the third time this has happened over a couple of different versions, always in the same cirsumstances. will be working for months, then all of a sudden, zip. same fix always works, but have been hoping for new versions to address the issue.
no change in my working evironment - haven't installed new s/w for months either!

Ben, was your problem on version 1.5? do you still see this?

No response since >1 year. Resolving incomplete.
Please retest with the latest supported version 2.0.0.14 or the latest Shredder Alphas.
