when reading a plain text email, URLs are correctly formatted as lilnks. However, if I attempt to open the link, by left-clicking, middle-clicking, or via a choice on the right-click context menu, nothing happens. If I open the Javascript Console window, I will see the message:
Error: uncaught exception: Load of <url> denied.
where <url> is the link url. I have the mail tool set to not load images.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Read email with URL in body
2. Click on URL
3.
Actual Results:
Nothing. Javascript Console will show error:
Error: uncaught exception: Load of <url> denied.
Expected Results:
Open the URL in an existing/new window/tab, depending on the mouse button used or context menu selection.

(In reply to comment #1)
http:. I haven't tried https.
I did try changing skins, mentioned in another bug lie this one, but that had no effect.

Hmm, more datapoints:
This only happens on one of seven different email accounts. It's an IMAP account, but I have other IMAP accounts without this problem. Server settings are:
user_pref("mail.server.server11.ageLimit", 30);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.capability", 541219);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.daysToKeepBodies", 30);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.daysToKeepHdrs", 30);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.directory", "C:\\Documents and Settings\\Paul J. Ste. Marie\\Application Data\\Mozilla\\Profiles\\Main\\hg10c8cj.slt\\ImapMail\\mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.directory-rel", "[ProfD]ImapMail/mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.dual_use_folders", false);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.hostname", "mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.manualMark", true);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.max_cached_connections", 5);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.moveOnSpam", true);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.moveTargetMode", 1);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.name", "paul_j@ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.namespace.other_users", "\"~\"");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.namespace.personal", "\"#mh/\",\"#mhinbox\",\"\"");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.namespace.public", "\"#public/\",\"#news.\",\"#ftp/\",\"#shared/\"");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.numHdrsToKeep", 30);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.purgeSpam", true);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.realhostname", "mail.ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.realuserName", "paul_j");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.server_sub_directory", "");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.socketType", 1);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.spamActionTargetAccount", "imap://c7g9b71@mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.spamActionTargetFolder", "mailbox://nobody@Local%20Folders/spam");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.timeout", 29);
user_pref("mail.server.server11.type", "imap");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.userName", "c7g9b71");
Some of those are screwy. I will fix and retest

I think I solved it. When I changed the settings:
user_pref("mail.server.server11.directory-rel",
"[ProfD]ImapMail/mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.hostname", "mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.realhostname", "mail.ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.realuserName", "paul_j");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.spamActionTargetAccount",
"imap://c7g9b71@mail.ste-marie.net");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.userName", "c7g9b71");
to:
user_pref("mail.server.server11.directory-rel",
"[ProfD]ImapMail/mail.ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.hostname", "mail.ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.spamActionTargetAccount",
"imap://c7g9b71@mail.ste-marie.org");
user_pref("mail.server.server11.userName", "paul_j");
the URL links started working again. I had previously changed the host name and user name for this account. I assume that's what caused the problem. Instead of changing the hostname/userName settings, Moz 1.7 added "realusername" and "realhostname" settings.
