Much of the spam I recieve these days uses html to display an inline image identified by a CID. Sanitized junk mail should not display these images/attachments.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive junk mail with an html formatted mime partition and an inline image
2. View the junk mail
3.

Actual Results:
The image is displayed even though the "Sanitize junk mail" option is set.

Expected Results:
The image should not be displayed
as long as the image isn't fetched from an http server, we'll display it. The point of not displaying the image is that we don't want to verify the e-mail address for the spammer, i.e., it's a privacy issue. Are you seeing us fetch an external image?
"Are you seeing us fetch an external image?"

No, the external stuff works fine (except for RSS feeds *grumble*). The problem that I am trying to address is not a privacy one, it is a "Junk mail should not be seen" one. It does not make sense to me that the default behaviour should be to allow junk content to be viewed. If we disagree on that then surely you can concede that others would like the option.

I do not wish to see image content in junk mail. Sometimes I review junk mail to make sure that it isn't a false positive but it is never the case that for a piece of mail that is marked as junk that I actually want to see an inline image - especially since this image does not appear as an attachment and so I don't have that option available to me to disable viewing.
enhancement?
