on the iMate sp5m, pressing the soft keys does not activate either of the two softkey menus on either side of the addess bar

Steps to Reproduce:
1.launch minimo on sp5m
2.press either soft key
3.

Actual Results:  
nothing

Expected Results:  
menus to pop up
Same for the Axim X51v
I got Calender and Home mapped to left and right softkey but that doesn't seem to work in minimo
