Just getting this on the radar so it's not a last minute thing. Basically the same thing as bug 324499, but for 1.5.0.1. Just need to change the javascript on release day so that installs of 1.5.0.2 point to the "congrats, the update was successful!" and installs of 1.5.0.1 point to the standard Firefox Central.

(note, we decided to hold off on bug 324093 until Firefox2, and perhaps even depricate it entirely in favour of bug 314119)

Oh, he notices!

What's the timeline on this?

I believe that 1.5.0.2 is currently targeted at the first week of April, so there's time. I just new I'd forget if I didn't get it logged away somewhere. I'm going to CC dveditz so that someone who's on that release team knows that this bug needs to get resolved the day we push to the wire ...
Looks like it's shipping Tuesday, April 11th. So there's your timeline. :)
dbaron did some smarty-smart stuff (see bug 324499 comment 26, or just view the source of http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/updated) such that we can quickly change the text in that box depending on the release.

Before we push 1.5.0.2 live on the wire today, we should change this snippet:

    <!--
	if (navigator.userAgent && navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Firefox/1.5.0.1") != -1)
		document.getElementById("note-replace").firstChild.data = "are running the latest version of Firefox, with the latest updates for stability and security";
	-->
	</script>

to:

    <!--
	if (navigator.userAgent && navigator.userAgent.indexOf("Firefox/1.5.0.2") != -1)
		document.getElementById("note-replace").firstChild.data = "are running the latest version of Firefox, with the latest updates for stability and security";
	-->
	</script>
dbaron fixed this in revision 1.14 of mozilla-com/lib/config.tmpl on 2006-04-13 15:07.
