Details
Tags in places will be implemented as a non-hierarchical set of folders within a top-level "Tags" folder. We need to establish the ID for that root and make sure it gets established during setup.

This is already on the backend, so I think the bug is fixed. We do not yet (and may not ever) have tagging support on the frontend.

So what's about this:
http://mxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/toolkit/components/places/public/nsINavBookmarksService.idl#182
182 * NOTE: This isn't wired up yet, so don't try to use it for anything until
183 * bug 329961 is marked resolved.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
