Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1

My computer crashed while Firefox was running (and probably loading something). When I launched it again (after restarting), all my bookmarks both from the bar and the Bookmarks folder were gone; my search engines were gone; my toolbar layout gone. All the extensions etc. were working, though.

Basically, it seems FF has reverted to its natural state. The bookmark bar was there but without any bookmark buttons. The modified (by myself) bar with all the buttons (forward, refresh etc.) was not modified anymore. Absolutely all the search engines were gone.

I suggest you employ some backup mechanism or something, because I've had this problem a lot of times and it is really frustrating.

Of course, it's kind of impossible to reproduce it, it just happens when my computer crashes and Firefox is working. I don't know if it happens everytime or not, but happened quite a lot.

Thank you.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
I don't really know if it's possible, maybe some exceptional circumstances were involed, eg. loading something, antivirus etc. I don't know.

1. Well, launch Firefox, start loading a lot of tabs.
2. Somehow make your system crash.
3. Launch Firefox again. You should see it has reverted to its natural state, eg. no bookmarks, search engines, toolbar layouts etc.

Default theme, lots of extensions, though it has happened before with a different set of extensions.
This is a dupe.
