rename folder issue with "favorite folders" view

I have a local folder ("Local Folder" / "foo" / "bar") that is marked as a favorite folder.  It contains 100 messages.

When I'm in the "favorite folders" view, I right clicked on it to rename it to "bar2".  In the folder pane the name stays "bar" and there are now 0 messages.  if I cycle through the folder views, when I get back to the "favorite views", it shows up as "bar2" with 100 messages.

I have not tried renaming an IMAP folder.

I'm using:  version 1.5 (20060226) on Windows XP

Interesting, yes, I see this too. But I bet you're not running 1.5 :-)

I'm running "version 1.5 (20060226)" (according to the about dialog), but you are right, this is not 1.5.

It's what ever is at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/

similarly, deleting a folder doesn't get reflected in the folder view until you cycle back to the folder view.  I'm not convinced this isn't a xul template problem since I think we're sending the right notifications. It's possible we're not responding correctly to an rdf query in these situations, I guess...

rename and delete WFM version 3.0a1pre (2008032002)

however, uncheck favorite does not take immediate effect in the view.  filed Bug 424196
