Microsoft Outlook seems to have an interesting "optimisation" on how to encoding smileys of email messages.
In the text/plain part they are ":-)" as they should be.
In the text/html however... they are encoded like that:

<font
size=2 color=navy face=3DWingdings><span lang=EN-US =
style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Wingdings;color:navy'>J</span></font>

that's right, a smiley is "J" in the "wingdings" font...

and when receiving those mails in thunderbird, we only see "J".

I wonder why gecko is not displaying the "J" in the wingdings font as it should?
I can provide screenshots, message sources if that can help.

I realise it's just one of outlook's indiosyncacies and you could close it as WONTFIX.

Reproducible: Always
