Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Build Identifier:

When starting, Mozilla is searching for a "dist" machine.
It sends thousands of requests to our DNS servers and it takes more than 5 minutes to start.
We are working on AIX 5.2 ML2 with Mozilla 1.4

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. To get traces we start the tcpdump command
2. Start mozilla

Actual Results:
The result is always the same.
Mozilla takes 5 minutes to start

Expected Results:
Why Mozilla is searching after the "dist" machine ?
Can you try running Mozilla 1.7 from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7/contrib/mozilla-powerpc-ibm-aix5.1.0.0-1.7.tar.gz and look if this version has the same problem? Mozilla 1.4 is really old and many bugs were resolved since Mozilla 1.4 was released.
