Brendan Eich writes: The staff@mozilla.org meetings have been combined with paid staff of first MF and now MF + MC. This was calculated to do the least harm, but I think that may have been a mis-calculation.

Wow, I didn't know there was a "Governance" component ;-) Anyways, here's how I would summarize the issue: It's good that the community gets to see weekly status from MF and MC employees. It's odd for the meeting to be referred to as a staff@mozilla.org meeting when it includes people who are not part of staff. Possible solutions: redefine the meeting to describe what it actually is, or separate the meetings appropriately.
What mitchell said at the firefox summit was, iirc, that the meetings didn't really discuss staff things anymore, but were mainly mozilla.com information meetings (hm, the minutes at http://wiki.mozilla.org/2005Offsite/MozillaProjectDynamics don't really contain that...). it would seem like this means that the staff meeting minutes should be renamed.
zak: Please only change the assignee and not the QAContact when you are taking a bug. Many of us watch the QAContact for changes with Governance bugs, and by changing it, it causes bugmail to be lost and never seen. Thanks!
