When replying to an email from the first account, the compose window defaults to the second account, including email address and signature. The occurence is not constant, but should be around 10% of the time. OTOMH, it sounds like a race condition Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird 1.5 2. Open first account 3. Select a message and right-click "Reply" 4. Observe the compose window 5. Repeat 3-4 until the account in the address bar is wrong Actual Results: In some cases, the email address is of the 2nd account, and there is no signature Expected Results: The compose window should have the email address of the 1st account, with its signature Default theme. Dell Latitude D505 Windows XP
Worksforme. Any chance you clicked the other account in between?
Negative. The test was done by right-clicking on a random message, selecting reply, and observing the address in the compose window. When the behaviour was not visible, the test was repeated with another message until I had an occurence, normally within 10 emails. My mouse has a very insenstive scrolling wheel that makes sound when used, and I don't remember hearing it turn in between either. This could be re-verified.
(In reply to comment #0) > 2. Open first account > 3. Select a message and right-click "Reply" > 4. Observe the compose window > 5. Same X-Account-Key: value when "not wrong" pre-set From: address and when "wrong" pre-set From: address? See Bug 327713. In additipon to situation written in Bug 327713(moving mail to other account when non Global Inbox), other situations exist(occur even when Global Inbox). (A) The mail was received when current account-1 was defined as account-2 in the past, and the mail has "X-Account-Key: account-2", and the mail was imported or copied to current account-1 after re-definition of accounts (account-1 is defined as account-1), then account-2 is choosed. (B) The mail was received when current account-1 was defined as account-X in the past, and the mail has "X-Account-Key: account-X", and the mail was imported or copied to current account-1 after re-definition of accounts, but account-X doesn't exist, then default account (current account-2) is choosed.
The X-Account-Key is different indeed between emails in the same account. I had the same error appearing today, on emails I got yesterday. I am wondering if I did not open another mailbox as those emails were downloaded. If one thread looks at the currently selected account to tag the email then we could have this behaviour... However, there is no notion of what the account was in the past in my case, as I did not delete accounts or anything like that. I was TB 1.5.0.2 at the time of getting those emails. The problem occured before and after the upgrade, although I did not try to duplicate the theory I just mention.
