Add a preference that will allow behavior identical to Safari when creating a new tab: maintain focus in current tab rather than switching focus to the newly created tab.
This is the single issue that keeps me from making Camino my default browser.
Reproducible: Always
If you go to Preferences>Tabs there is an option called "New windows and tabs open in the background" Select that and newly creates tabs and windows will open without stealing focus from your current active tab.
