User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nb-NO; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 3 alpha 1 (20060316)
Threading by subject does not thread by other prefixes than "RE:".
Threading by headers does not thread by the Thread-Topic header.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sort by anyting, threaded
Independent of mail.strict_threading and mail.thread_without_re
Actual Results:
Mails with matching subjects but with different prefixes than RE: are not threaded together, even if they have exact the same Thread-Topic header.
This happened independent of the mail.strict_threading and mail.thread_without_re settings.
Expected Results:
With mail.strict_threading = false, threading should also be done by other prefixes than "RE:" (e.g. "SV:" in norwegian)
Regardless of mail.strict_threading, threading should also be done by the Thread-Topic header

This screenshot shows that messages 3 to 6 i the list are not threaded, although they are clearly related. Except for the first (number 6 in the list) they all contain the Thread-Topic header referring to the previous message.
The first two messages are using References and In-reply-To correctly, and can be threaded thereby. The "RE: SHDSL" messages are threaded by subject.
