User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Flash and video files are not playing audio, but are playing video. I verified that there is nothing wrong with my hardware by checking to see if audio from my iTunes library played, and there was nothing wrong there. Also, I listened to streaming audio only files and found that they too played. This happened yesterday too, but when I restarted the computer, audio played. I tried restarting the computer and reopening Firefox today, but to no avail. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Open an online flash file Actual Results: The file loaded at a regular speed then video played, but without audio. Expected Results: Both video and audio should have played. The theme I was using was ifox. Yesterday when it worked I was using ifox, as well as when it did not work. I am also using two extensions: StumbleUpon and Kaboodle.
Works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 and FlashPlayer 8,0,22,0 installed.
Did you check your Flash audio preferences already (i think this is possible by right-clicking on the Flash move and there should be a entry for the preferences window).
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
