Firefox != Mozilla App Suite (this is probably Core, really) Does this happen for all PDFs or just that one? What happens if you remove the Acrobat plugin?

(In reply to comment #0) I have encountered a similar problem with the Linux version of Firefox 1.5.0.3 but not in the Windows version. if I go to the web page http://tiaa-cref.org/forms/index.html and then choose a form, say the Roth Conversion Form under IRA Forms, I get a window with a tab saying "A11073.pdf (application/x..." but no document -- the page is blank. I've tried changing the file association for pdfs and also explicitly calling acroread for pdf files via Preferences / Downloads / View and Change File types, but nothing makes any difference. Other pdfs are displayed, however.
I have noticed this using Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and Firefox 1.5.0.4. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe as well. Everytime I try and open a .pdf file inside the Firefix browser, Adobe Readers opens and says it can not open the file in a browser window and reader will exit. It is trying to load the .pdf file in the same tab where the link to the file was clicked on. It does work if I use IE on the same link and file.
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
