331946 - Compacting Inbox, multiple number of files and non-working button

- Suddenly my system compresses the INbox and takes al lot of time to doe that.
- There ar only messages in my INbox and everytime I started TB the total of numbers wil be added by 5 (ricghthand-corner)
- Switching on the function : Only compress if more than (in my case now : 3000 kB !) does nothing
- deleting Index.msf as advised did also nothing

And nearly from the same time : to get my email I could press the button in the upper-left-corner. This button does nothing but the funktions from the little triangle still works.

I tried everythimg from the advises but nothing worked.

The button is not the greatest problem but how do I switch off the compresssing-funktion ?

Tools->Options->Advanced->Offline&DiskSpace : uncheck the 'compact folders' option.

Note that old messages can also be automatically deleted. See Tools->AccountSettings->DiskSpace (both in your account and Local Folders). That's not the same as compaction, but maybe you're seeing the I/O of this operation.
