Firefox crashes Windows 98 when logging into the Rabobank site
Steps to reproduce:
1: Go to www.rabobank.nl/particulieren/
2: Click on "inloggen"
3: Watch windows 98 go down in flames.
Opening the javascript console instead of doing step 2 results in more or less similar results.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to www.rabobank.nl/particulieren/
2.Click on "inloggen"
3.Watch windows 98 go down in flames.
Going to https://bankieren.rabobank.nl/mijnbankzaken
directly is not a problem. The site is totally usable after the browser reaches this point. No crashes in sight.

After some further conversations with the actual reporter, and looking into the issue somewhat deeper:
- Windows 98 freezes completely. Its not a BSOD crash, it just that the user interface freezes completely while loading the popup window. I cant even move the mouse anymore. Ctrl-alt-delete doesn't work either, I have to manually reset the machine.
- This happens 99 times out of 100, not 100% of the time.
- This behaviour was introduced to this site when rabobank.nl did a site overhaul, some months ago. Until that time everything worked perfectly.
- The machine seems clean. Ad-aware reports nothing. The people using it dont do things that would normally get one infected with spyware, they don't use Internet Explorer anymore (if they can help it) and I replaced Outlook with Thunderbird at around the same time they switched to Firefox.
Furthermore if any spyware had been involved they should have noticed months ago ..

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

reporter...
"machine ... decommissioned ... not sure what caused it to crash on that particular site ... just one page on one site opened with a particular browser, but as far as I'm concerned - without additional reporters not worth going after. So close the bug by all means."
bug 248827 fixed in dec 2005 for rabobank.nl might be related perhaps.
