95% of the time the only field I can enter/edit when trying to create a New Card is the Notes area under the Other tab.  Can't even activate the cursor in any other fields.  Cannot enter or edit New List fields at all.  Then all of a sudden it will let me create one New Card (after dozens of tries and reopening Address Book) and quits again.  Tried to create a New Profile (as described in Help) but when I hit Create I could not edit the entry field or delete the Default Profile shown in the entry field.  

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Address Book
2.Try to activate cursor in any field with mouse click or tab
3.Nothing happens (except in the Notes area of the Other Tab)

Actual Results:  
Can't enter anything

Expected Results:  
Should be able to enter in fields

Do you have any extensions installed?
Do you see any errors or warnings on the Javascript Console?

The fact that you can't create a new profile properly suggests this is more of a general problem with Thunderbird rather than specific to address book.

No, I don't have any extensions in stalled.  Yes, you are right--it is not just the Thunderbird Address Book.  I went to add Bugzilla to the permissions list in the Thunderbird Filters function and I can't enter or edit fields in that function.

Ok, moving this to general thunderbird bugs as its not specific to just the address book.

Help.  I'm going to have to quit using Thunderbird because I can't enter in any field in any dialog box, action buttons don't repond, ..... it has become virtually unusable.  The problem occurred about 95% of the time originally now it happens 100% of the time.  I hate going back to OE but I've been waiting weeks for some resolution without response.

Doug, WORKSFORME is more appropriate closure when a problem is no longer
seen.  FIXED is only appropriate when you know which patch or other bug with a
patch fixed the problem.

Thunderbird works okay
But this 64 bit version is buggy
I finally got the edit page to come up but I cannot delete the old email
Also when in address book I cannot delete an address
