Instead of going to my homepage, it went to firefox. It said I had most up to date and I wont see this again. I closed browser and reopened it, it again went to firefox and not my homepage. I noticed all my favs were missing, I went to the options, I set the homepage as well as a few other options like history and cookies etc. The BUG is , it wont let me click OK to close the options window, therefore it wont accept any of my preferred options as i have to CANCEL to close the window. I uninstalled and deleted all from the registy, reinstalled , same problem. All this trouble after I believe installing that **** windows defender the day before. I uninstalled windows defender. still it did not fix problem with Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.happens every time 2. 3. Actual Results: as descibed in details Expected Results: as descibed in details as descibed in details
Please retest in Firefox's safe-mode and if that doesn't solve the problem, try creating a new profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
I tried Firefox in safe mode and that did not fix problem. When you talk about creating a new profile, im not sure what you mean. But I did create a new User on the computer , and that did fix the problem. Unfortunatly, I was looking for a better answer than reinstalling all my software.Everything else on my PC is running/working fine. The only problem is Firefox. It sucks to have to reinstall just because there is no fix for the Browser.
