User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 A large number of pages just don't seem to render properly to take account of the actual FF windows width, leaving significant horizontal text off-screen right. Examples: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=45990&postdays=0&postorder=asc&postsperpage=15&start=165 renders offscreen, as do wikipedia DIFF pages. But the following page in the forum http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=45990&postdays=0&postorder=asc&postsperpage=15&start=180 renders within screen width. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Actual Results: Web pages are rendered either: 1) with some elements being allowed to force the width wider than they should, or 2) not always taking account of FF program window width. Expected Results: Pages should render within visible area, with fewer exceptions. Compare to Opera which handles this function well. This must have been reported before, I can't imagine not, but I can't find a bug report for the fault. Feel free to mark as duplicate if one exists. Additional informatiojn - using vertical tabbar; shouldn't be relevant but might be.
The MR Tech Link Wrapper extension seems to work. I don't know if it has side effects. There is also a bookmarklet available on the internet for that function. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 99457 ***
