Finally I have a bug for merging the account manager with the prefs dialog. putting on feature list because it's big.

if this is fixed, mebbe bug 40712 will go away.
this bug is very related to #40172 if we fix this, #40172 becomes a won't fix. we need to decide where the account manager will live and decide which bug is valid. re-assign to putterman so he can track it and decide what to do. this may eventually go to racham. personally, I don't think it is something we need to do for 6.5

Recommend wontfix for both bugs. Offering UI for settings which are specific to Messenger when a user opens the Preferences dialog in Navigator (or vice versa) makes about as much sense as offering UI for settings which are specific to Photoshop when a user opens the Preferences dialog in WordPerfect (or vice versa).
I agree with mpt on this one. I like having the account manager outside of prefs and I don't think it needs to be in every component. So, unless there's strong disagreement which I don't see in the bug, I'm marking wontfix.
