User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050328 Fedora/1.7.6-1.2.5 Build Identifier: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ Ability to store and retieve bookmarks on imap server. See comments on bugs https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160523 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78858. I would envision the bookmark file to be stored in an XML format that could be retrieved. This sounds similar to Open Office's base. http://www.openoffice.org/product/base.html " BASE includes a full version of the HSQL database engine, storing data in XML files. It can also access dBASE files natively for simple database work." Reproducible: Always
IMAP? There are plans for enabling remote bookmarks service via a simple API (with remote storage backend left up to the implementor), but that wouldn't be via IMAP. IMAP isn't even available in Gecko, its part of the mailnews module, and that particular bit of rearch is the wrong way to solve this.
