The sidebar which normally appears on the left in IE6, appears at the end of the main colomn. Also the sanskrit characters displayed using UTF-8 fonts are distorted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open mozilla firefox
2.go to http://sanskrit-quote.blogspot.com
3.Set character encoding to UTF-8

These are two seperate bugs and as such they need to be filed seperately. Since you provided steps to reporduce the sanskrit bug (although I see what you are saying about the sidebar) I am going edit the summary to reflect the sanskrit bug only. 

As far as the sanskrit goes it does not look distorted to me, but I do not know sanskrit so I have uploaded a screenshot of what I see.

Its the same case with Tamil / Telugu fonts
I use Firefox 1.5.0.7 with fedora Core 6
Lohit Tamil, Lohit Hindi fonts are not rendered correctly
issue is the same as mentioned for Sanskrit fonts on this bug

from the Image, I see that the fonts are distorted for sanskrit
and as mentioned in the comment earlier, its the same case with Tamil and Hindi fonts
