User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/184.108.40.206 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:220.127.116.11) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/18.104.22.168 Firefox submits input elements, even if they are not enclosed by a form tag. This applies if a div tag is envolved. I supplied an example (see URL). This is annoying when there is e.g. a textarea element right behind the closing tag of the form which contains a huge textblock. This text will be submitted too, even if its unrelated to the actual form. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. load http://affenkrieger.de/test.html 2. press submit 3. the input field "text" appears in the page query, where none should be Actual Results: After submitting the form it will result in a page request like http://path/to/test.html?text=texttexttexttext Expected Results: a page request like http://path/to/test.html?
This looks like a parser bug, this is the dom output that Mozilla generates: FORM method="get" action="test.html" name="stdout" * #text: * DIV o #text: o INPUT type="submit" o #text: o INPUT type="text" value="texttexttexttext" name="text" o #text:
