Doesn't seem to be a way to disable this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure not in a form or address bar, in normal page browsing 2. Press the : ' key which on my keyboard is also the: @ key when shift is pressed. 3. The find bar should appear like Ctrl + F is pressed Actual Results: Find function appears. Expected Results: Nothing, unless the key is somehow allocated as another find shortcut. Occurs with any key and happens to a few other users I have spoken to on a separate forum.

Yeah, it's supposed to do that. No, there's no way to disable it.

"It's supposed to do that" can't be the final word on this. If you minimize the window, then remaximize, it works fine. This a fluke, not a "supposed to." And it's annoying as heck to people who have it.
This is part of FF randomly going into carat browsing mode. It happens to me all the time. I get really annoyed by it when typing in a form. I have posted a few times in the forums but nobody seems to care. I am running xp x64 Latest FF - Gmail Manager - ForeCastFox Plus - Adblock Plus w/ filterset
