User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Firefox/1.5.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Firefox/1.5.0.2 Thunderbird takes a long time to load when initiated. I have 2 colleagues who have developed the same problem with the addition that their incoming email has been deleted. Thunderbird takes about 5 mins to load, it works ok after that, but can only download email once only from my ISP. I have removed and reinstalled the latest version of thunderbird, the problem is still present!! I have resorted to using Outlook Express at the moment until bug is resolved. Thanks louis freris Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load thunderbird 2. 3. Actual Results: Takes 5 mins to load Expected Results: Can download emails ok, but only once Provided above
Without more info it's extremely hard to know what's causing the problem. Have you tried compacting the inbox (right click - compact)? Any anti-virus/firewall that's somehow interferring? Also check Tools->JavaScript Console to see if there are any error messages there.
