Input with IME (input method editor) is terribly slow in some cases. Right here in bugzilla comment box, it's reasonably fast (at least fast enough to cope with my typing speed). However, at http://www.mozilla.or.kr, it's way so slow that I feel as if I was back in the early 1990's and connected to a telnet-based BBS over a 64kbps trans-pacific satellite link.

It appears that it's a font-dependent. If I select 'No Style' in 'View - Page Style', the problem disappear at the same site.

I haven't yet tested Japanese or Chinese IME (I only tested Korean IME).

I'm filing this under Gfx:Thebe, but something might have to be done on Gtk:Widget:Win side.
thebes doesn't deal with IME. -> widget

Sure, it is although there might be an issue with the interaction between thebes and widget:win. Otherwise, I'd not have filed under thebes. Moreover, with this terribly slow IME input, all the previous versions would have had a significantly lower chance of being released.

I think that this bug is same as bug 332497.
I have an adhoc idea for IME that is we make to be able to specify the IME composition string style by CSS pseudo-element. If we ensure the font-family of the composition string, we never see this problem, but it may not be good for the style of the editor...
