User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Firefox/1.5.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Firefox/1.5.0.2 This bug is almost the same as bug 317787 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317787 However, nothing is installed other then firefox 1.5.01 on a new windows XP SP2 system. To get to the point, when you click a download, and it opens a new window to intilaze, the download button is greyed out - however, if you cancel the download and try again, the download button is useable. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Goto a website that has downloadable files offsite, such as a forums 2. Click the download link - so that the download opens into a new winow Actual Results: The ok button will be grey on 40-60% of the clicks Expected Results: A working ok button screenshot - http://noballs.org/downloads/no_ok_button_4_mozdev.png the file's link came from http://ammahls.com/forums/ and the files download is at http://noballs.org/downloads Noballs.org is a NSFW site, and should not be viewed in senstive enviroments.

I see the specific behavior described under a clean profile (i.e. nothing written to mimetypes.rdf,) both on branch and trunk where: 1) The browser is not set to 'always use' a certain program 2) The download link is triggered by target="_blank" Taking away focus then re-giving focus to the 'Opening ...' dialog resolves the problem.
