User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060328 Firefox/1.5.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060328 Firefox/1.5.0.2
When the disk image mounts, it tells you to drag it to your applications folder, but it is only a picture and not an active link. This is very confusing for new users to Firefox.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Mount disk image
Tells you to drag to Applications
You have to manually open Macintosh HD and then apps, then drag into applications.
Actual Results:
Moves app into applications
Expected Results:
The mounted disc image picture of the applications folder should be a live link, so you can drag it from the same window as the Firfox icon. Adiumx does this perfectly and I think it should be done this way.
Please check out how Adiumx does it's installer.

This is discussed at length in bug 283598 and bug 305717 - the /Applications directory is not named the same thing in localized versions of Mac, meaning that a symlink won't always resolve correctly, and that it can be confusing for users to see their entire hard drive appear as a link on the DMG.

There is a universal shortcut in Mac
command + **** + a that in finder will take you to applications.
Can you have the DMG run this finder shortcut as it mounts to bring up applications?
