Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

If you have a site on your intranet, and you try browsing with firefox, links such as the one listed above [file://///shared/folder/file.doc] will not display, however if the site is saved to your local machine, then links with [file://///*] are displayed correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Link to any file or folder with file://///
2.Publish and view with FireFox > will act as if the link is '#'
3.View the same page from your local machine in FireFox, and links with 'file://///' work properly.

Actual Results:
If you perform the 3 steps aboce then you can see the problem

Expected Results:
Published sites should be able to handle the file:///// such as Internet Explorer already does, without having to save the entire site to your local machine for it to work.
This is a dup of bug 122022. We don't allow these links for security reasons. I think IE7 behaves similarly.

> 2.Publish and view with FireFox > will act as if the link is '#'

A link to "#" scrolls to the top of the page. Does Firefox really scroll to the top of the page when you click a link from http: to file:? If so, that's definitely a bug.
