To see this, 
Open a JA page and type in (or copy) a word found on the page to "Find Text:" 
field (Search| Find on this page...) and click Find. ==> No result.

This works fine with both low and high ASCII char's.

I doubt it.

This works fine for me in 2000323 Win32 JA, and 2000032306 Mac M15b1 bld.
Works for me.  Running build 2000032306 (CD bits) on US Win95 w/Global IME.
I searched for 日本 (the Japanse kanji characters for Japan (nihon)) on
http://home.netscape.com/ja/ and it found and highlighted several occurences
of this string as I kept clicking find next.
Strange. It works for me, too now. Resoving Invalid.
