Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.2 (20060420)

When reading newsgroups, the unread headers can only be obtained for one newsgroup if the "Unread" option is selected in the View panel. If a new group is selected, the name of the newsgroup is changed from bold to normal, but the displayed messages are unchanged. To change groups, it is necessary to kill Thunderbird and restart, or to switch to "All" in the View window. This behavior is new with 1.5.0.2. Version 1.5.0 was OK.

larry does this sound similar to bug 320301?
Yes it does. Check the permissions in the .thunderbird tree. I'm running 1.5.0.7 and it does not show this behavior.

If the permissions are correct, check that all the components of 1.5.0 were replaced. I have seen problems when I did an update from my distro (SuSE) over a manually-installed version.

you saw it in 1.5.0.2, but it is gone in .7?
Yes, it is now OK.
