Using 2000-03-27m15 commercial builds The icons indicating which folders are being utilized for Drafts or Templates (and Sent) are not updated within the session when changing the pref to point to a different location. In the case of a new pop profile Drafts (and probably Templates, too) doesn't update through various sessions until you switch from the default location. Note: there are a lot of possible combinations to test here, I've presented just a simple scenario. When verifying fully, scenarios should be tested which involve migrated profiles, new profiles, switching prefs IMAP to local folders and vice versa, POP hierarchy to local folders and vice versa, multiple accounts pointing to different locales, multiple accounts pointing to the same locales, user created folders, etc. 1. Create a new POP profile. Default settings for Drafts point to local folders' "Drafts" folder. 2. Immediately after creating the profile and going through the wizard, create a new message, save to draft, close compose window. Note the draft does indeed get saved to the (default) local folders' "Drafts" folder. Also note THERE IS NO SPECIAL FOLDER ICON for the drafts folder at this point. 3. Exit and relaunch. SPECIAL FOLDER ICON still doesn't appear. Create and save another draft. It is saved to the same local folders' Drafts folder, but THERE IS STILL NO SPECIAL ICON. 4. Switch the drafts pref to point to "Drafts" on account hierarchy. Confirm OK and look at the mail window. THERE IS NO SPECIAL ICON at either Drafts folder. 5. Create a draft, save it, close it. Note it properly gets saved to the account hierarchy's "Drafts" folder. NO SPECIAL ICON yet. 6. Close the account folder hierarchy and the special icon will appear, or exit/relaunch. Actual Result: special folder icons not updated in a timely fashion to correspond with changes in prefs relating to Drafts, Templates, etc. Expected: User should see immediately feedback via special folder icon indicating the "active" status of such special folders. Again, complicated issue to test, particularly when involving multiple accounts.
this is a dup of another one of my bugs but I'm too lazy to look for it now :) However, as I mentioned in that bug, the current icons have Drafts, Templates and Sent looking the same as regular folders so this won't be relevant anyway.
