335727 - Text near a link is overwritten when passing over the link

If you browse to http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,1954398,00.asp , at the beginning of the article you can see a link with the following text: "Michal Zalewski has problems with Microsoft." Immediately after this link, you can see the text "He thinks Microsoft doesn't", which is the beginning of the paragraph.

When you move the mouse pointer over the mentioned link, the text quoted above is overwritten or, better, it is "written again"... I mean it gets darker and darker each time you pass over that same link, as if it was written again in the same place over the original one. There's also a visible effect on the text antialiasing, which "gets overloaded".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to the mentioned URL;
2. move the mouse pointer over the "Michal Zalewski has problems with Microsoft" link, then away from the link, then over the link again, many times;
3. look at the text immediately after the link: it becomes darker.

Actual Results:  
The text following the link becomes darker.

Expected Results:  
Nothing at all should have happened to that text.

I also tried in safe mode, and obtained the same results.
One strange thing to notice is that the problem does not happen with smaller font sizes (if I decrease the text size using Cmd - '-'), while it happens for the normal font size (Cmd-0) and all larger font sizes I tried (Cmd-+).

The problem does not happen in Safari, Camino 1.0 and Opera 8.54.
