The current windows instructions are geared toward 2.20.  It would be nice if they were geared towards 2.22.

Does it make sense to make these instructions a page in the wiki?  I (and probably other people) could help with them.

i've been thinking about moving it to the wiki too :)

i've started it .. http://wiki.mozilla.org/Bugzilla:Win32Install

there's a few things i don't know how to do in wiki; mainly get <b> tags working inside <pre> to indicate what is typed.

ok, the wiki entry is pretty well done.

the only thing i couldn't figure out is image thumbnails (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Thumbnailed_images).

Why using wiki? These instructions should be in the official docs IMO:

http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/tip/html/os-specific.html

If we need separate instructions, then this means that this section is incomplete and should be improved.

Perhaps the official doc should now have a pointer in it to the wiki doc?  There appears to be a small amount of duplication there that could be replaced with a simple link.

Also, don't want to forget that the wiki still needs to be updated to reflect 2.22.  Once I upgrade, I'll add some updates once I know everything's ok.  But it probably would be good for new users and "old" users who could use a bump in the right direction.

the tone and verbosity of the windows install guide is different from the official docs.  the guide fleshes out the existing information in the docs into a step-by-step form.

Byron, is it OK for you if we delete all the content of http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/win32install.html and replace it by a link pointing to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bugzilla:Win32Install ? This would let us update the link used in http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/3.2/en/html/os-specific.html and make it point to wiki. Having 3 different places for the doc is bad IMO.
